I read this from an article by Doz et al. (2007) and thought to share.
“Most companies become extinct not because they do the wrong things, but because they keep doing what used to be the right things for too long.”
You probably know this already but, here’s my take.
While this refers to firms, it also applies to careers and professionals.
In my opinion, most professionals also become extinct not because they do the wrong things, but because they keep doing what used to be the right things for too long.
Reminds me of the Icarus Paradox (use Google for details).
So at the risk of sounding cliché, I’m hoping this thought inspires us to do something positively different for personal, professional and organisational growth this year.
