Sanusi, Wike, Dangote, others bag Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) awards.

The Emir of Kano, HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi; Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike and President, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote among other personalities have emerged recipients of the 2018 Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) awards.

President of YEN, Chris Kohol, who announced the winners, stated that the award was initiated to recognize and celebrate true Nigerian legends and heroes for their outstanding and proven contributions to Nigeria’s socio-economic growth.

He said they emerged as a result of online public national nomination process, which was conducted last year, adding that the award seeks to inspire and ignite excellence among other Nigerians.

With the theme, ‘honouring the past, treasuring the present, shaping the future’, the event is slated to hold on Friday 27 May, 2018 at Sheratons hotels in Abuja.

According to the organisers, Lamido Sanusi emerged YEN Man of the Year 2017, Gov Nyesom Wike won the Governor of the Year 2017 for his outstanding and selfless service in the area of economic growth, massive infrastructural development and human capacity development in his state and Nnamdi Ezeigbo the MD/CEO of Slot Systems Ltd won the Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 for his giants and innovative entrepreneurship strides.

Other winners include Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Life Time Achievement award and Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for Leadership Excellence Award and Special Recognition Award for Leadership Excellence.
